143 Million Pounds of Beef, And We Can’t Fix This. . .
Three weeks after The Humane Society released an undercover video of
workers abusing cows on the Internet, The Department of Agriculture
forced the Westland / Hallmark Meat Company to recall 143 million
pounds of beef.
The Department of Agriculture classified the largest recall in our
nation’s history as a Class II recall, meaning that the chances of a
health hazard were remote.
For anyone who ever doubted the influence that the Internet can have
