A Los Angeles city bus collided with a car, sending sixteen people to the hospital, including a pregnant woman.

Sixteen people were injured -- two critically -- when a bus struck a vehicle in Leimert Park Tuesday night.

The accident happened at 4024 S. Arlington Ave., near Vernon Ave., at 11:38 p.m. when a passenger bus hit a vehicle, Los Angeles Fire Department spokeswoman d'Lisa Davies said.

The vehicle was destroyed, and both the driver and the passenger -- one of them pregnant – were taken to the hospital in critical condition, she said.
