Over 100,000 visitors a year view the exceptionally preserved tanks which are always worth a visit when in Dorset. I have been to the museum twice in the last few years and this new development will make it larger and more customer friendly.

A £16m project to redevelop a military museum boasting hundreds of armoured vehicles is to get under way.

The work at the Tank Museum in Bovington, Dorset, will see a display hall built and an overhaul of its exhibition areas.
