A £1.4m scheme to help prevent flooding at 60 properties in Llanrwst has been unveiled by Conwy Council. It would involve installing a 720m (2,360 ft) storm water overflow from Afon Bach into the Afon Conwy river.
Council engineers said the work would reduce the likelihood of flooding at Chapel Street, Glanrafon and Station Road Bridge leading to the Old Tannery.
The plans will be available for the public to view at the Glasdir Building, Llanrwst, on 12 and 13 June.
Current flood defences would also be reinforced, with the steel railings by the old library being replace with a solid wall to allow flood water to rise to a higher level than can currently be accommodated.
