FLORIDA / SOUTHEAST U.S. -- Local Florida news stations are running stories about preparing for the 2005 Hurricane Season after a record-setting 2004 season. They are discussing issues such as supplies being scarce at local Home Depot stores, etc. Several articles are talking about 2005 being a very active season and preparing for 2005's season. I would like to see stories and footage from various parts of Florida beginning now through to the end of the season. The story/stories should not only include preparing for or experiencing any 2005 hurricanes but how people/businesses are still trying to recover from last season. (Google search). See this video too. Since Hurricane Season officially runs from June 1st to November 30th, this story will remain open from now until November 30th in order to document not only all preparation for the season, but any hurricane-related events throughout the season. Here's hoping for a mild season but forecasters aren't predicting one.

Dr. Gray's 2005 season predictions:

  • 11 named storms
  • 6 hurricanes
  • 3 intense hurricanes

. . . with a 49% that one will hit the southeast.

(Florida residents: also see one of my sites as an additional place to document the season's events.)
