Where are the mainstream media and the NY Press on this story?. Michael Tarif Warren, and his wife, Evelyn (also a lawyer), were allegedly assaulted by the NYPD with Evelyn being punched in the face. Problem for the NYPD is that both are human rights attorneys...OOPS! But I guess these two were lucky at least they didn't get shot at 50 times. Read entire story by clicking the link below:

glc3, thanks for posting this. You're saved here by the word "allegedly," as I'm sure you know.

I think this is an important story and would benefit from other NowPublic contributors working on it. I've flagged it as News Wanted and invite others (or yourself) to look for more evidence or more context for the story.

It's a very hard story to get more info on, the man that wrote the original story only takes hand written request for interviews and the actual lawyers are not speaking on the advice of their lawyers as I learned after calling Michael Warren in person.

Good stuff.  Thank you for covering this and bringing it to the public's attention.  This is very important because minorities are hardly covered in the mainstream media, unless it is negative!

This is a really important story. I can't find any reports of it at all.

They must be launching a lawsuit. I hope so!!! I wonder about the witnesses, as the report states that lots of people crowded to the precinct to demand answers. Did you see any of that?
