The cause of the collapse is still unknown, though it looks to be "complete" as reported here. The town of Fanwood, NJ is a small wealthy suburb about half an hour south west of Newark. It's population is just over 7000 people.

The collapse occurred about 1:45 Tuesday afternoon at a one-story business at 238 South Avenue near Martine Avenue and 2nd Street. Piles of bricks and rubble could be seen stretching from the front of the business to the back as it appears the building sustained a complete collapse.
