On December 1st in London, an auction hosted by Giorgio Locatelli at his restaurant Refettorio saw the sale of a 1,5 kg Truffle for $330.000. Thanks to Truffle goes for a trifling $330,000 by Rebecca Seal on Word of Mouth for landing this sale on my map. She describes the truffle in question as a monstrous warty creature.

At least the $$ went to charity. But who bought it? Another corporate billionaire with ill-gained profits?
