50,000 Tickets Sold for LA vs NY Game

NY Red Bulls will host the LA GAlaxy on August 18th at Giants Stadium.  With 8 days to go, NY has already sold 50,000 tickets.  The capacity at the stadium is 80,000.  The highest attendance at a Giants football game was ~75,000.  With David Beckham having made his MLS debut yesterday and stating that he anticipates starting his first game in NY, tickets sales could reach 80,000+.

Before New York, LA will play on Sunday at sold out Gillete Stadium against the New England Revolution before 35,000 spectators.
