An unidentified gang of robbers beat up and looted five Indian pilgrims of cash and valuables in a forested stretch of Kailali district near the Indo-Nepal border here while they were returning from an annual fair.

The Indians were on a pilgrimage to Nepal and were returning through the jungle of Beli after visiting Kailali district's famous Behadababa fair, according to the National News Agency.
