On September the 11th 1948 the Kahdzamm of Pakistan died, and the first war between India and Pakistan began. East Pakistan, now Bangladesh, eventually fell and it appeared the Islamic state would break up. Thorough the 1960’s and 70’s the USA took little interest in Pakistan but maintained there relationship with Afghanistan. The King of Afghanistan even recieved JFK before his death. Eventually the United states needed to exploit the resources of the Area and began to play the “Great Game” in the Punjab and Kashmir.
During the Reagan Regime and as noted in the Iran Contra affair, Israel was sending captured weapons to the Taliban via Tehran as was the United States. The Mujahideen were promised that if they beat the Russians, they would be allowed to have a go at Al-Qads, or Israel, as it is called by most people. The Saudis matched US spending here Dollar for dollar and continued to do so even when the US cut off funds. This was to create an Islamic bomb. Which Pakistan did on the May 28 1998. The USA was now unable to control Pakistan and the fear of Nuclear weapons falling into the Hands of the Mujahideen, A.Q.Khan did supply the technology on the open market though. This situation seriously disrupted ENRON’s plan to build a gas pipeline from the Caspian or Baluchistan to India, causing ENRON to go bankrupt because all their money was riding on a successful outcome to the invasion of Afghanistan.
This video has been edited from a series on Pakistan and is an exculsive for NP. It is fully documented and Sourced and if anyone has any Questions feel free to ask. “Ask lots of Questions.”
