Mothers Day Gift image

When we opened our email today at WK Unplugged, we found out that PopCap Games, makers of some of the most popular casual games available today is still celebrating all the moms in the world - by giving away Bejeweled Deluxe for FREE!

Note! There goes Productivity for the rest of the day!

Mother's Day was on Sunday (you didn't forget, did you?), and you might want to act quick as there may be a limited time offer to get this great casual game for free! When we found out today that PopCap was still making this Mother's Day offer available, we felt we should let more people know, as Mother's Day was on May 14th. And it's a known fact that many mothers like casual games, especially if they get them free, or as a gift.

PopCap Games is giving away Bejeweled Deluxe, just for signing up to their newsletter. It's real easy to get this free game. I followed the link in my email, (same link is below) and I followed the instructions, and within 5 minutes I was installing my free version of Bejeweled Deluxe. I was wondering what the catch was just like anyone else would, and because I was curious to find out more, I followed the directions and found out that it was rather painless to get this free game from PopCap. I never had to any my credit card or anything, so I can assure you that it is definitely a free full version of Bejeweled Deluxe! I only had to enter my basic personal information: Name, address, email etc.

Get your free full version of PopCap's best seller Bejeweled Deluxe casual game by following this link:

Deluxe. It's rather simple process and not much to ask to get a free Bejeweled Deluxe game.

Essentially, PopCap wants you to
sign up to their PopCap newsletter, and they're rewarding you for doing so. To all the Mothers out there. Happy Mother's Day!

This looked and felt more like an advert to me than a news item, especially in light of your normally-fantastic work.

Jordan,

I orginally justed posted what was on WKU to NP, but have since modified it. I received a number of emails about this on WKU after I posted the original news story on WKU this morning. Many people enjoy it when they get something for free, and when I checked on DIGG, the same Mother's Day Offer story was being reported by many poeple from all over North America. Yes we do offer up casual games on WKU, but we thought that not all news has to be harsh reality news, and we felt like making this good FUN type news available on Now Public, since the train derailment stories were very depressing.

This is news about getting a free version of a great game from PopCap, not an advert from WKU, although I have inserted a link back to WKU.

Essentially, it's news to us, our site visitors that number in the thousands and perhaps may be to many of NP site visitors. And especially since we live in the casual gaming world we felt it important to let others know about it because I am sure it won't happen too often. Perhaps it reads better now, as I have modified it from the original posting on WKU, and maybe it is now better suited as casual game news for Now Public?
