A NEW canal marina, outdoor swimming pool and redeveloped car park could be in store for Daventry if a new blueprint for the town goes ahead.
Daventry District Council has launched its "masterplan" for future development in the town.
Proposals include a canal marina, redevelopment of the old gas works car park and up-to-date leisure and retail facilities.

The district council leader, Councillor Chris Millar, said he was delighted now to have the draft masterplan, which formalised some proposals for the town unveiled over the last few months.

"In the meantime, it gives a clear vision of the direction the council believes Daventry should move in."
The plans can be viewed on the Daventry District Council website by turning to: www.daventry dc.gov.uk/atoz/daventry development or at the council's one stop shop reception at the offices on Lodge Road, Daventry.
