I think that this is vaguely amusing in parts: it is a parody of the Lefebvrists.

I should add that it would be possible to write similar parodies of almost any identifiable 'movement' or current in the Church's life, and if my general presumption is that the lefebvristas who are hierarchs and clerics are in one way or another 'tending to' if not in fact canonically in schism I certainly don't want to so characterise the entire body of their adherents.

The Church's present guazzabuglio is unsettling and full of nonsense.  The notion, e.g., that Catholic life somehow revolves around the Bollettino is just as mistaken in one direction as the notion that we 'create' our 'own liturgies' when we celebrate Holy Mass together is in another i.e. both are errors that betray a less than perfect understanding of what the Church believes.  In these circumstances, beyond prayer, the lectio divina and study, a little weekend diversion from the grave realities of contemporary public life is sometimes welcome.
