Arrogance of Power

Is anybody else angry at the arrogance of the Bush executive branch? I am not just talking about the White House, I am talking about the whole apparatus. It looks out of control. Power corrupts and when an Executive Branch has no check from the legislature and very little from the courts it becomes corrupt. Look at the lobbying scandals. Look at the CIA leak case. Look at the positions taken by the Justice Department on the war on terror. Look at Ramos and Compean case. Look at Bush's recent statements about the war in Iraq. Everywhere you look Bush is thumbing his nose at the legislature, at public opinion and at anything that challenges his authority. This is a man with a 24% approval rating. If I didn't believe so strongly in our system, it would be scary.
