A Rock Star At Your House? Indiana Gregg Is playing Gigs in Homes around the UK!
Not all rock stars spend their days trashing hotel rooms and flying around in private jets. Some, such as American-born singer-songwriter Indiana Gregg, go the extra mile to give something back to their fans.

Indiana, who is now based in Glasgow, has set about a tour of Britain, playing gigs in people's front rooms. This is the third series of home gigs and this time around she's performing in homes accompanied by a TV crew from UK Gigs TV.

Last week her journey brought her to Barnet, where she performed for members of the North Finchley Ovarian Cancer Support Group.

Indiana has a remarkable story behind her success. She was born with a serious speech impediment, and as a child also had to wear corrective shoes and leg braces. Her speech therapist advised the use of singing and poetry writing to help improve her vocal abilities.

The therapy helped so much that now she is a successful artist with two albums and a tour with Lemar behind her.

Clare O'Hagan, who lives off Nether Street, North Finchley, hosted the gig. She said: "I found Indiana's music on YouTube. Her song, Sweet Things, really resonated with me. I found out a little about her and the dates of her gig coincided with our group's meeting. I called her and she agreed to come and perform for us.

"It was marvellous. There were about 20 people there, ovarian cancer survivors and their families. It is not every day you have a big rock star in your house. We were all mesmerised."
