A Scarier Night than Expected in SF

I was excited to see what this years SF Halloween scene was like, as it is easy to enjoy the flair and costume inovation which strolls through the Castro. This year wsas no different as great costumes arrived and participants enjoyed a street filled rendition of Beat it vs. Love is a Battle Field... But then I heard people had been shot, and 10 people at that. I am posting another source for more information. This is really scary. People seem to be saying the same thing. It was a lot of fun and a small group of people ruined the party, however the questions have to be: Will this Halloween event return next year? And if so , How can it return to a fun, non-violent event? It sounds like the Mayor & SF have some serious work to do...

The SFgate has an updated report...

Two people were being questioned early Wednesday in the shooting, though it was not immediately clear if they were suspects or witnesses, said police spokesman Sgt. Neville Gittens. No arrests had been made, and the motive was unknown, he said.
