A Tribute to Gabriela Mistral.    Monday, April 30, 2007, 7.30 pm, at the Vancouver Public Library, 350 West Georgia Street, Vancouver, Alice MacKay Room, lower lever. The World Poetry Reading Series is organizing a tribute to Chilean poet, educator and diplomat, Gabriela Mistral - the first Latin American woman to receive the Nobel Prize for literature (1945).   The tribute will include readings of her work, by world poets and by Vancouver’s Poet Laureate George McWhirter.  A photo exhibit of Chile
