NP Rank:
"A War On For Your Mind"
Much to my horror, as I read the article and watched the obscure video
clips, I realized quickly that i just posted a "National Enquirer" type
story that was not only going to discredit PP.com, but also possibly
discredit everything else that I had previously posted.
Alex Jones is a syndicated radio talk show host who's claim is he's "fighting the New World order." One of his several news oriented web sites is infowars.com where the slogan is, fittingly for this story, "There is a war on for your mind."
For the past year and a half I have used AJs web sites as a trusted source for hidden news that he digs up from mainstream and not so mainstream sites such as Assiciated Press, Reuters, and other news gathering organizations that seem to expose a plan for the destruction of America and every other sovereign nation, thus creating a world central bank as well as a world court that all nations would be subject to. Needless to say Dan Rather and others are not reporting these hidden stories, I and many others, are digging up.
Yesterday I posted a story that claimed to expose a key piece of evidence pertaining to the official story that was reported about Timothy McVeigh and the Oklahoma City bombing. Trusting the source, Prison Planet.com, I immediately brought the headline to Now Public thinking to myself, "this is huge news." After publishing the story at NP I went back to PP.com to read the story and watch the supposed video evidence as it was a very provocative headline so I thought.
Much to my horror, as I read the article and watched the obscure video clips, I realized quickly that i just posted a "National Enquirer" type story that was not only going to discredit PP.com, but also possibly discredit everything else that I had previously posted. When I got back to NP to delete the story "Actual News Guy" from NP left a message saying " There's a lot of work that needs to be done on this story - like, get
some independent source to confirm this really is McVeigh in the video.
I've googled around bit and can find no reference to a Bill Bean that
satisfies my curiosity. D the H, what do you know about this?",confirming my own thoughts. This all happened within about ten minutes of the time that I posted it. I could find no other scource related to this as well.So today I confronted Alex on the air asking what possessed him to post this tabloid style story. If you are interested you can listen to his response to my question as they replay every broadcast online at 3, 6, and 9p.m.(Pacific Standard Time) He takes my call at about 1hour and 35 minutes into the broadcast. He seemed caught off gaurd and embarrassed. Listen at the below links. Let me know your thoughts if you listen. As the old scripture says, "be careful how you hear." - DIG THE HEAVY

Hey D the H,
Thanks for the correction and the courage. Very cool -
Over the years I wish I could remember the times I let my enthusiasm make me impatient...it's a brutal way to learn, but it produces over the long run much better journalism .
Very good stuff indeed.

Alex Jones did admit he has been wrong in the past and that he is not perfect but defended the fact that he did think it resembled Timothy McVeigh in the photos after I confronted him on air yesterday. As Actual News Guy pointed out though, the story needed way more evidence than a tabloid like photo comparison. If you look at the photos in the story I posted 2 days ago, it shows a pic of McVeigh in his Gulf War uniform where he looks a few years older than the person in the photo they are claiming was taken after he was discharged from the Army. My instincts said "shit! Go back and delete the story. I can't believe Jones posted this." When I came back to delete it ANG confirmed my gut feeling. Check out the photos in the story and give me your opinion on the comparison as this is a serious acusation by the claimers of this story.
