The directors of the Gunditjmara Aboriginal Co-operative in Warrnambool, in south-west Victoria, will hold talks to discuss the implications of a civil jury verdict against board member Geoff Clark.

Yesterday, a civil jury found Mr Clark, the former ATSIC leader and chairman of the Framlingham Aboriginal Trust, did lead two pack rapes on Carol Stingel, 51, in 1971.

The jury found Ms Stingel was raped twice just after her 16th birthday and awarded her $20,000 in compensation.

Clark sits on the board of the Gunditjmara Aboriginal Co-operative in Warrnambool, and the chief executive of the co-op, Rodney Jackson, says the directors will need to look at the ramifications the jury's decision could have.

Outside the court, Mr Clark said the finding against him was the greatest injustice in Australia's history, but has refused to comment further.

The ABC has been unable to contact anyone at the Framlingham Aboriginal Trust.
