Actress found dead in home

Dubuque police said there is no evidence to indicate that foul play was involved in Thimmesch's death. The results of an autopsy are pending. She was found at her home after other residents of the apartment called authorities.

Thimmesch lived in Apt. 1, 421 Locust St. She also lived at various times in New York City, Los Angeles and London, pursuing a modeling and acting career.

Martha Thimmesch, 46, appeared in the movies "The Crossing Guard," "The Day Lincoln Was Shot" and "Jackie Bouvier Kennedy Onassis" and in television episodes of "Law and Order: Special Victims Unit" and "Homicide: Life on the Street."

A Dubuque woman who appeared in several motion pictures and television programs died on Monday, March 26.
