I found this article about a Vancouver based letter writing club that takes place every Thursday, hosted by Regional Assembly of Text.  If you attend, you will find old school type writers, funky envelopes, paper, stamps and even a mailbox, so you can mail your hand-written letters right on the spot.  Although I love the idea of conventional letter writing -- and I would include scented papers as well -- after a day long of answering emails at work the last thing I would like to do is write a letter..with a pen ...on paper.

Check out the Regional Assembly of Text's website. I love the "Days of the Week" buttons, for example today would be Monday -- but how could I forget?
