I had seen photographs of this Hail storm, which hit Argentina, and it looked pretty bad. So, I took a look around and found little in the way of postable news. However, I ran into a blog post from a Greek traveler who happened to be in Rosario, Argentina at the time of the storm. This person gives some real incite into what the local news in Rosario labeled the "Afternoon of Terror."

I was on my way home (am staying with a couple of local lads thru couchsurfing) and there was noone home. It was extremely windy and the hail and rain started precisely when i rang the bell and realised noone was home. The hail was the size of small lemons (!!), some as big as apples!

Needless to say, the city went in a state of emergency, many people were injured, one elderly woman died and the streets are full of glass from the broken windows, dead birds and tree branches. In the local paper today they named it the "Afternoon of terror"
