Comedian, author and radio host, Al Frankin announced his run for the Senate. For Al Frankin this is not a joke. He wants you to know he is serious. He said, “Nothing means more to me than making the government work better for the working families of this state, and over the next twenty months I look forward to proving to you I take these issues seriously.

Comic Writer? -- Can't Write.
Example (paraphrase): It is good that people can and should pick themselves up by their bootstraps ... Government should be there to provide the boots.
Prediction: Al Franken will not win. This run for the Senate by "Stuart Smally" is a train wreck for the people of Minnesota to watch.
I just hope he is able to provide enough fodder for good comedy writers so that this 20 month effort results into something positive - a laugh from the unfunny Al Franken, at his expense.
