Here we go again.  Sometimes a person just gets tired of fighting with governments for the good of their own country.  It's not enough that Albertans have to engage in on-going battles for their forests.  Now Energy Alberta wants to build a nucleur power plant up north.  They seem to be trying to stimulate controversy over the exact site of the plant but, in my opinion, this is to divert action away from fighting against the concept of nuclear power in Alberta itself.  Our old friend Ted Morton, Minister of Sustainable Development in Alberta, who has signed contracts for 800,000 acres of clear-cutting in Kananaskis, is in it again.  He will have to approve the purchase of more land by the developer.  No doubt he will.  Residents of Woodlands County, where the plant is to be built, are fighting for a plebiscite on the concept of nuclear power development itself.  Good luck to them.  I wonder what it would be like to have a government that works WITH its citizens, not AGAINST them in matters of environment.  You haven't heard the last of this.

Hear Hear!

I often wonder what is in the minds of people who do such things. Is it:

1. We will make lots of money.

2. It's progress. It's the wave of the future.

3. We have to do it -- we are desperate. It's for the good of everybody, including our children.

4. It isn't really so bad...

5. The Big Boys have said this is going to happen. It's been decided. Don't fight it.

That is actually a question. I don't know for sure what they are thinking, but I would like to know.
