Alec Attacks: Baldwin threatens daughter in phone message

"I'm gonna straighten your ass out when I see you, screamed Baldwin...about what a rude little pig you are, you a rude thoughtless little pig."

This was the enraged message Alec Baldwin left for his 11-year-old daughter, Ireland, after she apparently didn't answer her phone during a scheduled weekly call between the two. Baldwin was in New York on April 11th when he made the call to Ireland who lives in California with her mother Kim Basinger (also Baldwin's ex-wife.)

A friend of Baldwin has contacted TMZ.com saying that since the incident, Baldwin has called Ireland and apologized. The friend also emphasized that Basinger has tried to do everything in her power to alienate Ireland from Baldwin over the last six-years, so everyone needs to understand the place where his frustrations were coming from.

Regardless, the message is harsh and abusive. After hearing it, a family judge was so alarmed that Baldwin's been temporarily barred from having contact with his daughter. Listen to the message here.

Baldwin's lawyer, Vicki Greene, told TMZ, "Whatever happened yesterday was sealed and confidential. What you're telling me you've got you shouldn't have."
UPDATE: Basinger's publicist, Annette Wolfe, told TMZ: "The voicemail speaks for itself."

Sorry, but this time I am going to take Alec Baldwin's side. Was he wrong in how he talked? Absolutely, but if you are a parent who keeps getting stood up and jerked around by your kid, then you will lose your cool at some point. But the real problem is that Kim Basinger and her team leaked it out to the press. The only motive in doing so was to cause harm to Baldwin. The problem is that her daughter will now have every person in America knowing about the call, kids teasing her based on the call, etc. So, if we look at it like that Baldwin is not the bad guy here. I feel another contempt of court in her future. I used to feel sorry for her, but it looks like the two were made for each other, with all the anger and hostility. Two angry people that use their kids to get back at each other. Is there a judge who will take the kid away from both of them? I doubt it, money talks.
