All For What?

Remember the first gulf war? how kuwait was invaded by iraq? But then liberated by coalition forces. But lets take a look at kuwait now.

 Kuwait was once a promising nation with the start of the oil boom an kuwait making billions from it kuwait was once a promising nation. "Democracy" was implomented but now means nothing as the 'leader' takes most of the countries money and stores it in offshore bank accounts  mostly in Switzerland. A recent pay increase from a few millions a year to a few hundred million  a year. Corruption runs kuwait. Everything is corrupted the governement the ministers the police the hospitals even the schools.

 A minimum of 1 house maid is very common here mostly brought in from the philipines and for most of the time come expecting good conditions . The truth is they rarely get paid live in a small room no bigger then 2m by 1 m. Beaten raped and brocken finally the philipino governement stepped in with compusary wages of at least 120 KD which is around 480 Aussie bucks a month.

  Everything is hypocritical here, The so called 'prohabition on alcohol' where as no is supposed to have any alcohol but people in high places have it ok lets be honest basically everyone has it  for a hefty price tag of 200 bucks a bottle for cheapo wine most people make it.The law is ...there is no law... money buys everything people dont even bother paying speeding fines which are issued on rare occasions. women cannot do anythin without a man rent a house buy a car. Women who have miscarriges can face 7 years prison. Sex is looked down upon even though there cousin is as much as a kuwaiti will get. Almost half of the nation is gay and that is no joke.  They preach equalty and justice, the courts are useless and what equality? indians, banglesdeshi's, philipino's indonesians and most poorer nations citizens who come lookin for a chance at a better life get paid less then if a kuwaiti does the same job and i mean alot less how is a house maid supposed to live off 40$ a month?

 The schools that expatriates go to such as The British school of kuwait and American school of kuwait are businesses not schools 10,000 aussie dollars a year per child?? not including books uniforms or anything. and where does the money go ? the schools are mostly brocken down sh** holes. With yet ofcourse kuwaitis getting special treatment and get away with everything.

 Hospitals are useless and often of a less then 3rd world standard. they do not carry morphine and give panadol for people in ambulances which is useless for someone  in  a car accident. Drugs is a big problem. Aswell as islam. It is not true islam . it is fake.  men get everything and women nothing. Human rights and even the U.N have no power over the country. Kuwait is above the law as most kuwaitis have said.

Pride is a big thing here with the amount of fights that start over nothing. You could call someone an idiot for littering and they'll get there whole family to bash you up take you to the desert and shoot you as they claim. you can even try it. if you are sittin in a quite traffic jam toot your horn slightly and suddenly the whole of kuwait will be beeping there horn. people call the police if you give someone the finger. and useually do end up in jail. Everything is censored even school books. History is being erased. In our history books apparantly the holocaust never existed as the pages are blacked out and glued together. the press freedom is rediculous as everything is censored to make kuwait look great. Flags and pictures of kuwaity royalty are everywhere and is somewhat scary.

So with a country which is on the brink of collapse. What was the whole gulf war for? what was the point? maybe iraq would have actually kept the place clean. People died for what so over a decade later expats of countries who liberated kuwait could be spat on an trampled over. Personally i think there was no point but i guess when you put oil into the equation it changes everything.
