Yes` Those good Folks of North Yorkshire are getting all steamed up again` as the A4 Pacific Streamlined Steam Locomotive " UNION OF SOUTH AFRICA " came steaming in to York Railway Station on Saturday 19th May 2007 to a waiting crowd.

The Great News for all those Steam Buffs is that the Locomotive is to become a regular vistor to the Station because it will be hauling Steam Specials along the East Coast Mainline between York and Scarborough for 3 days between July 24th to August 30th.

Sister of the World Famous A4 Pacific Locomotive Mallard` The Train was built for the LNER in 1937 and ran services between Kings Cross and Edinburgh until she was withdrawn from service in 1966.
