Allison Crowe Sings For Fundraiser Ucluelet BC Canada

Internationally acclaimed singer songwriter Allison Crowe delighted fans during a concert at the Ucluelet secondary school band room July 27.

Crowe played to a small intimate audience as part of a fundraiser for a new school program called Global Education. The program is designed to educate students in current issues and to help them become more active and responsible global citizens.

Crowe said she enjoys performing for charity, and, as a musician, it is important for her to support a good cause.

“What I do is play on stage, I have a platform to get messages across, so [performing] is a natural thing to do.”

Crowe’s rich, powerful and soulful voice mesmerized the small audience. She played several original songs as well as some cover songs by the Beatles, Cyndi Lauper, Leonard Cohen and Aretha Franklin.
