Andy Card Gets a Thumpin' at UMass

There comes a time when decorum and protocol need to be thrown out the window. Think Eartha Kitt telling Lady Bird Johnson at a White House luncheon that President Johnson was responsible for killing children in Vietnam. As President Bush's Chief of Staff, Andy Card led the team that has lied to the American people and disastrously mismanaged everything they have touched. Recent testimony before Congress puts Card squarely in the middle of trying (and failing) to bully then Attorney General Ashcroft into supporting the illegal wiretapping of American citizens.

So I see nothing wrong with the horrible reception Card got at the commencement at UMASS last week. This YouTube video makes me proud to be an American.

If only we had been this boisterous four years ago. With so many Americans and so many Iraqis killed and maimed every day, we should all be booing every chance we get.
