This one's pretty good. The Progressive reports that Comedy Central's just bought 6 half-hour episodes of an animated show titled Lil' Bush: Resident of the United States. The show presents the Bush administration as the geeky misfits at an elementary school.

Here's a taste:

Lil' Bush "Hot Dog" Pilot (4:56)

For the life of me, I can't figure out what the hell Cheney's supposed
to be playing in the opener. He's got sticks; is it a xylophone or
hammered dulcimer? I guess that's one reason why they're misfits --
either would be totally uncool. And, apparently, the series was created before Rumsfeld resigned.

The show was originally created for the mobile phone platform, Zap2it.com. According to United Press International,
"[The] new show revolves around Lil' George and his Lil' White House
pals including Lil' Condi, Lil' Rummy and the foulmouthed wisecracker,
Lil' Cheney. They are likened to the Lil' Rascals with access to the
atomic bomb. They also square off with their enemies, including Lil'
Kim Jong II and Lil' Saddam Hussein."

Sounds like one helluva lot more fun than the people who inspired it.
