In Canberra, demonstration (very disciplined) organised by
"freechina” and the
“Quit CCP Global Service Centre”.
The emphasis seemed to be (I stopped 5 minutes before the end) on the human rights in China; there was a petition (that I’ve not found online on their sites) to put some pressure on China’s government (asking Australian’s government to do so), linking human rights in China and the 2008 Olympics.
On this:
www.olympicwatch.org/www.hrw.org/campaigns/china/beijing08/From the
"freechina site” :
“Free China is a Non-Government Organisation (NGO) established in 2005 as a support network for Australians to contribute towards the freedom and human rights improvement of China.”
