Denver, Colorado, June 8, 2007. Recently while clicking on a link to a story on the Denver Post newspaper's website (denverpost.com), I got a stern warning from my antivirus / antispyware software that the site was attempting to upload dangerous spyware. My antivirus software is TrendMicro's PC-Cillin. The warning read, "Warning, Dangerous web site." The warning lists the credibility as "Dangerous" and the category as "spyware." The actual source of the malware isn't exactly the Denver Post website per se but a web advertising firm that pays the Post to include it's ads on the Post's website. The accompanying photo shows the warning.
