It wouldn't be Sundance if there was no controversy.  And director Robinson Devor has made a movie called Zoo, that many view controversial.  It is based on the life of Kenneth Pinyan, a Seattle man who engaged in sexual activity with a horse and video taped the sex acts. He explores this "last taboo on the boundary of something comprehensible": sex between men and animals.  Check out Jason Apuzzo's blog for the Liberty Film Festival for more on the movie.

Though bestiality is not illegal in Washington, the subsequent revelation of the existence of an Internet-based zoophile community (the men refer to themselves as "zoos," hence the title) was a shock.
