Sydney (ANTARA News) - Australia will provide a free Internet filtering
service and access to a hotline in a bid to thwart perverts seeking to
contact children, Prime Minister John Howard said Friday.
In an additional move, federal police will be given funding for an extra 90 officers for an online child sex exploitation team.
Howard said the aim was "to detect perverts and predators who seek to
use the Internet as a means of getting in touch with children for their
own perverted purposes.
