NP Rank:
Australia to name park after Steve Irwin
Opinion

Steve Irwin, famed Animal Environmentalist and "Crocodile pisser offer" killed in a stingray attack last year is having a 333,385 acre Wildlife preserve named in his houour. Prime Minister John Howard said the new park was an important addition to Australia's national reserve system, "and is a fitting tribute to a passionate environmentalist and a great Australian. Steve's Daughter Bindi Irwin is now following her late father's footsteps with a similar format Television show, though Bindi professes she prefers poisonous snakes.
"
In Ending
Let's hope Bindi's passion does not include grabbing Crocodiles by the tail and dragging them around for public view like her dad, otherwise I fear Prime Minister Howard may soon be dedicating a Wildlife Preserve in Bindi's name.
Final Thought
A childhood friend of mine, Fake News ex-SNL'er Comedian Norm MacDonald received a lot of flack from the public weeks after Steve Irwins death for stating the obvious about the early demise of Steve Irwin on Jon Stewart's the "Daily Show". When Norm was in Town I mentioned to him to use the Crocodile Hunter bit during his Coquitlam Boulevard Casino show a couple of months ago. Norm looked at me like I was friggin insane, though he paused for a few minutes, smiled and relented much to the laughter and delight of the audience. I have included his Daily Show video clip for Now Public readers to judge for themselves. Humour has no boundaries even in death.
