Austria: Josef Fritzl refuses to cooperate with police

An Austrian man who kept his daughter captive in a cellar for 24 years is refusing to answer further questions, police have said.

Josef Fritzl, 73, had signed a statement admitting imprisoning his daughter and fathering her seven children, but refuses to give details or explain his actions, detectives said.

He has also admitted disposing of the body of a newborn baby who died shortly after the birth in an incinerator, the BBC reports.
