Brad Pitt's movie Babel leads the Golden Globe nominations with 7 nods. The thriller involves an American tourist being shot in Morocco -- the tragedy touching off an interlocking story involving six different families. Leonardo DiCaprio's The Departed and Clint Eastwood are also nominees. Winners will be announced January 15th, eight days befor the Oscars.


DiCaprio takes on himself in the best dramatic film actor category with nominations for the mob tale "The Departed" and the African adventure "Blood Diamond."
