A freak storm has injured several people at the Heineken Jammin' Festival in Venice, Italy after the sound and lighting system collapsed. According to witnesses sudden heavy rains and winds brought down the structures. Ambulances were called in to take the injured to nearby hospitals, most of them suffering from fractures and small head injuries. The Killers, My Chemical Romance, Pearl Jam and Linkin Park were all scheduled to appear at the concert, but their performances have been rescheduled at least for a few more days.
Venice Mayor Massimo Cacciari said 19 people had been taken to hospitals but only one suffered serious fractures
The event, which was due to feature the likes of My Chemical Romance, The Killers, Linkin Park and headliners Pearl Jam, has been suspended for the day.
