ANNOUNCING OUR LATEST VENUE...

the grand opening of

boca : The Bar of Contemporary Art

414 Jessie Street (off 5th near Mission)

We wanted to let everyone know about the latest gallery/cafe/bar/club
space from blasthaus which is just a hop skip and jump from Rx off of
5th Street across from the Historic Mint Building. boca features
rotating contemporary art exhibitions and special events programmed by
blasthaus. Its open EVERY TUESDAY - SATURDAY from 4pm on. There is a
spacious gallery and special project room, a full bar, outdoor seating,
plus we will be open for lunch and light dinner very soon. Come on down
to boca, its our intention to keep the space open as much as possible
and be free entry unless there is a special event or show. Along with
Rx, boca is destined to become one of the premiere cultural and
entertainment venues in town. There is an excellent exhibition up right
now featuring works by Swedish artist Nathalia Edenmont. (pictured
right detail) Come on down for a drink after work!

boca is open Tuesday - Saturday from 4pm - on

what an excellent idea - a bar of contemporary art. the idea reminds me
a bit of KW in berlin, which has a very nice bar and outdoor space (but
is not billed as a "bar" per se). summer saturday evenings at PS1 were
also very festive but usually really crowded.
