BC officials say tsunami will have no impact on coast

Emergency officials in British Columbia say they do not expect coastal areas of the province to face any significant impact from tsunami waves following Wednesday's earthquake in Japan.

The Provincial Emergency Co-ordination Centre says preliminary reports from Japan and Alaska indicate any wave that might reach coastal B.C. "will be very small."
