be cool, don’t litter

Litter bugs me. There is nothing worse than a beautiful view with a plastic bag stuck in the middle of it. The kids and I always pick up litter when we see it. We’ve even had a few organized ‘trash pick up’ days. Governor Richardson recently challenged the people of our state to do more. He has several contests going for kids, teens and organizations. I love a good collaboration, so I decided to document our efforts and join in the fun. Our goal is to pick up trash at least twice a month, as well as volunteering to make New Mexico more beautiful when the occasion presents itself [like the mascot!].
