There has been a large increase in spending on beauty products by British men, I myself am not part of this increased spending as I would have to spend more than I earn.

British men have decided they are worth it, and are spending more on beauty products.

Sales of men's sun lotions, aimed at minimising the risk of skin cancer, and wrinkles, have increased by 81% in the last year.

And more men have decided it is manly to moisturise with sales of skincare products going up by 11%, according to market researchers TNS.

In total, in the last year, Britain's softer-skinned, more fragrant men have spent £596m on deodorants, skincare and other toiletries, an increase of 5% on the previous year.

good stuff:

I guess it's the whole "metrosexual" trend... for me, a bar of soap from Boots was, like, a big deal.
