"Treasures

Projects, together with Janet Cardiff (CA), Rebecca Horn (D) and Robert

Wilson (US), are proud to present four young artists at the Königstadt

Brauerei.

Cardiff, Horn and Wilson, three established and

internationally acclaimed artists with strong ties to the Berlin art

scene, have chosen the young artists on show at the Königstadt Brauerei

as their individual bids on a new generation of artists based in

Berlin.

The Treasures Project has commissioned these young

artist: Erik Bünger (SE), Andrea Loux (CH) and Jakob Friis & Julie

Lindhardt (DK) to create new site-specific works responding to the

physical frames of the exhibition, the brewery vaults.

The

vaults under the Königstadt Brauerei in the Prenzlauer Berg Area have

reflected the rapidly changing history of Berlin. They have witnessed

the secret production of V-Bombs during WW2, the transformation of the

space into headquarters of the driving-division of the STASI and the

execution of occult ritual and illegal satanic masses. "
