New video has emerged which appears to lend weight to the theory that Russian security forces botched the Beslan school hostage crisis.

A total of 334 people died after two large explosions triggered a bloody gun battle and the end of a two-day siege at the school on September 3, 2004.

The official Russian line has always been that the militants involved caused the explosions by setting off homemade bombs inside the school's gymnasium building.

But the latest video seems to lend support to relatives of the victims' claims that security services caused the initial blasts.
