New York's best spots to celebrate Ireland's Patron Saint
Top taverns for grabbing a pint—and a plate of corned beef and cabbage—on the big night.
Éirinn go Brách means Ireland Forever. And if New York's Irish population has a say, it'll be awhile before the sea of green (that will overtake the city in just a few days ) will subside. New York City's St. Patrick's Day Parade dates back to 1762 and on March 17, Fifth Avenue will be packed once again. But if you're not into doing the parade thing and would rather just sit back and drink a pint, here are the spots (according to New Yorker Magazine) you should definitely hit.

I must add Iggy's Celtic Lounge Ludlow St at Rivington St, Lower East Side) to the list. It's owned and run by an Irishman, but doesn't go in for all that fake decor. Ive spent way too much time at Iggy's, even working there on occasion.
Incidentally, Molly's was one of the first bars I ever went to in NYC.
