MANILA - The Australian Embassy in the Philippines, The Podium Shopping Mall and Clean Up the Philippines Movement, Inc. will hold a bikathon dubbed as "BisiKALIKASAN: A Bikathon Against Global Warming" on Clean Up the Philippines Day, September 15, 2007 in the City of Mandaluyong.


The bikathon aims to raise awareness on the causes and effects of global warming.  The group will also distribute information materials on climate change and simple steps on how to combat global warming.


Officials from the Australian Embassy in Manila, The Podium and the City Government of Mandaluyong will join various cycling clubs and volunteers in the event.


BisiKALIKASAN is being held as part of Clean Up the Philippines Day and the international Clean Up the World Weekend Celebration where more than 35 million volunteers in over 120 countries participate.
