kingoftheworld, I think your story has potential but needs some improvement. I've got a few suggestions, and if you give them a try, I'd be happy to remove this flag.

I wasnt sure what was newsworthy in this story. News should always be about posting current stuff - new things you've discovered.

Please review What Makes News News. It can really help ify ou follow the old "W5" news formula -- making sure you have answered the questions: Who? What? Where? When? And Why? (You might want to check out our J-Tips for more help.)

It's interesting to see that Mecca Bingo, who have a long tradition in the UK Bingo market don't really point out that these numbers are no longer used in the 600 Bingo halls in the UK and not in their own clubs! The only place that uses the old fashion names for numbers now are the Working Mens Clubs and even then, they only use some of the more popular ones, not the names called on each number.

Incindentally, if you want to hear the numbers being called in the old fashioned way, then you have to visit a number of online Bingo sites run by the Globalcom Network (now owned by 888.com) where they do use the numbers. Personally I find it much more annoying than just the straight numbers and find it a bit ironic that in the modern internet world, they use the old fashioned numbers. There's a more in depth article on the background of UK Bingo number names here.
