Blissed Out in Brooklyn: SpankRock Helps Close Out NYC Pool Parties

So I was looking for a new groove on KEXP this afternoon, slighlty bored with my current selection when I ran into a live performance I had missed by Spank Rock.

Have you heard the name? Well you will soon enough. Spank Rock is a great jolt for anyone bored and even a little jaded by the current music scene.

And I would happily place a bet that the people who got down in Brooklyn earlier this week at the McCarren Pool end of the year party will not soon forget them either.

JellyNYC has been putting together a summer of free Pool Parties, and the season came to a close on Monday night, September 3rd. What a terrible time to be living anywhere besides right near McCarren Pool. But don't get scared they promise to be back next summer to make the kids go crazy.

Judging by the photographs I have seen and according to the chatter on-line this was one of those close out parties that only come along every now and then.  What was it I heard?  Oh, yes, "The Best Concert Ever." Brooklyn was rocking so hard the crowd was just jumping onto the stage. People just could not contain themselves, and that is why we all need more of that Brooklyn spirit to keep the dream alive...

Keep setting the stage and the standard NYC.

Does anyone have any photographs from the show or do you have a first person report from the stage?
