On March 21, 2006, Jumpstart Ford activists staged an intervention
at Peninsula Ford on El Camino Real in Palo Alto, CA, protesting Ford's
contribution to "Oil Addiction."

Demonstraters locked themselves
to a chain across the entrance to the front parking lot, while fellow
protestors handed out information, and explained how Ford is the leader
in making the most fuel-inefficient, gas-guzzling vehicles, and how
this "oil addiction" contributes to the current war in Iraq, pollution,
and human rights abuses.

Acting on the request of the Peninsula Ford Dealership owner, the
peaceful protesters participating in the blockade were individually arrested, and led away in handcuffs to awaiting police cars.
